Welcome to ScriptMind ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our handwritten math formula recognition application (the "App").

Information We Collect

Our App is designed to minimize data collection. We only collect data necessary to provide the core functionality of the App.

Handwritten Image Data

When you use the App to input mathematical formulas, we automatically capture image fragments of your handwritten content.

  • What is collected: Only the image data of the handwritten strokes you input within the App's canvas.
  • What is NOT collected: We do not collect any personally identifiable information (PII), biological characteristics, or background environment information from these images.

How We Use Your Information

The information we collect is used solely for the following purposes:

  • Recognition and Processing: The captured image fragments are transmitted to our third-party AI service provider (Google Gemini API) to recognize the mathematical formulas, convert them into LaTeX format, and provide step-by-step solutions.
  • Service Improvement: To ensure the accuracy of the mathematical recognition results.

Data Processing and Retention

We strictly adhere to a "no persistence" policy regarding your user-generated content.

  • Real-time Processing: The image data is used exclusively for real-time calculation and recognition.
  • No Storage: Once the recognition process is complete and the results are returned to your device, the image data is discarded. We do not store, archive, or retain any copies of your handwritten images on our servers or databases.

Google Gemini API

Data Sharing and Third-Party Services

We engage trusted third-party service providers to facilitate our App's functionality. These third parties have access to your data only to perform specific tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

Google Gemini API

We use Google Gemini API to process and recognize handwritten mathematical formulas. The image data is transmitted securely to Google's servers for processing. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for more information on how they handle data.

Apple In-App Purchases

Our App offers subscription services processed through Apple's In-App Purchase (IAP) system. All financial transactions are handled directly by Apple. We do not process, store, or have access to your credit card or banking information. For more details, please see Apple's Privacy Policy.

Data Security

However, remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Children's Privacy

Our Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to do necessary actions.
